Life! Program Facilitators

ConfusedThis healthy lifestyle workshop is for people 18+ and who are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke (Please contact our office to check if you are eligible). The Program is FREE!  Designed to help you make healthy lifestyle changes and improve your quality of life. For many people it helps them lose weight, improve cholesterol, blood glucose and blood pressure and often improves overall health and vitality!

Despite people thinking “they know all this stuff already” or they “don’t need it”, we find all people benefit from the program. The program helps MOTIVATE you to APPLY YOUR KNOWLEDGE!

The key components to the course are: EDUCATION – everyone will learn something new; it could be new exercise or learning about some of the “nasties” found in common processed foods MOTIVATION – get inspired to make some small but important changes  CREATE A DETAILED PLAN OF ACTION – taking the time to set goals.

The format of the program: Sessions are held fortnightly over 8 weeks, with the final review session 4 months down the track

  • Reduce total fat intake
  • Reduce saturated fat intake
  • Increase dietary fibre intake
  • Increase physical activity
